Here is the 30-year-old dune buggy that I found. I have wanted one of these for a long time. It has never been put together. . .( I was the first to drill holes in it.)

      I found a 1968 VW to use as a chassis donor and to obtain many of the other parts that I need. However, some of the parts were missing or  damaged so I am still looking for a few of them. The chassis had to be shortened 14 1/2". . . you can see where I shortened it in the pictures. I also put in new floor pans due to severe rust problems.  The fiberglass body needs some work. It has suffered from being stored outside for the last several years, but it is in good shape for its age.

     I was fortunate to find a new-old-stock body for my project, but I wasn't as lucky in finding a supply of new parts to complete my dune buggy. I'll have to keep looking for the pieces I need, or make them if necessary.
